Book Preview: My experience with film

I love movies. So do a lot of other people. Without rambling in detail about my experience with the world of cinema, I just want to say I feel enlightened to have seen so many great works from around the world so far- they have shaped my way of thinking. About 15 months ago I began working on a film book project, which was to look at my experience with film in terms of what got me interested, what I want to do, my thoughts on particular areas film and a few other ramblings. I don't expect it to be a paid book by any means- it'd be a pdf online of some sort.

The Kid (1921) Just as powerful 90 years on!

Verdict: Emotionally sincere, and full of whimsical comedy: The Kid still holds up today as a beautiful work of cinema.

Plot: A woman abandons her child in a car, as she can no longer take care of him. When she leaves the baby in a car, that happens to belong to criminals, the baby is abandoned by the criminals at an ally way. Along comes the tramp who tries to get rid of the baby himself, and ends up taking him in as his father. Five or six years later, we see the tramp with his child through a series of antics.

Especially THE HUMAN CONDITION which my friend and I done a 1-hour discussion video on. Check it out.

I am always exploring cinema, and Asian cinema is one of my favourite areas. While also an experience for me to find new movies, I would like to share the love of Asian films, and films in general. Curb Your Enthusiasm (Season 1) Review

Boy, am I glad I started watching this show. Already I know this is going to become one of my favourite shows. Following the life of Seinfeld co-creator Larry David, the series is in a mockumentary style with a clash of real names, but of course fictional events. This combination works so well as a new form of sitcom, which was a big game changer in 1999 and would go on to influence shows like The Office in the UK. It really does breathe life into the sitcom genre and the quality of the writing shows.

The Big Silly To-Do List for Summer 2015

It is summer again, and another very long time off University! For me, it is time to consume culture. We're talking movies, television, books and all that stuff on YouTube. I intend to do some traveling, but outside that there are several videos I want to make, many films and shows I want to see and books to read. Many of these things I intend to write about here or at letterboxd and at my YouTube channel. I hope you have fun as I ramble and discuss with everything I am doing this summer! So let's take a look at the list.
